By ASHOK SOMAN Hollywood stars gathered at Paramount Studios in California to launch an international charity initiative presenting portraits of 12 of their own in support of UNICEF’s education programs. Dreamed up by Montblanc and Signature International, this campaign involves auctioning the 12 unique portraits, with the proceeds going to UNICEF to address inadequate schooling and illiteracy. Each of the 12 actresses is captured in a famous role exclusively for the campaign

I was innocently poking around the boy’s closet one day when I found something that literally caused my jaw to drop- dangling from its hanger in a sea of polo shirts was a vintage MEMBERS ONLY nylon jacket! How I had not seen this before was beyond me, but the more pressing issue was the sudden realization that he is so much cooler than me now . Something had to be done. Kidding! But it’s difficult to deny the appeal of a MEMBERS ONLY jacket, which is why we were so excited when we heard that not only is the label back, but it’s better than ever with new styles, colors, and even a denim line! Among the fashion elite who are actually granted access to the highly-exclusive Bryant Park tents are some of Hollywood’s most noted celebrities — after all, what kind of star would you be if you weren’t dressed by the best of the best in designer royalty? Some famous fashionistas like Kellie Pickler and Jessica Stroup couldn’t stay away from the glamour of the runway and were spotted warming up the front row seats of several designers’ shows, including Badgley Mischka , Pamella Roland , and Lela Rose ; meanwhile, other more low-key VIPs saved their appearances for just their favorite style mavens, like Mickey Rourke for Domenico Vacca . While New York Fashion Week is ultimately about the clothing, many stylish starlets’ presences in the front row are inevitably photographed even more frequently than the designer threads themselves (oh, the price of fame), but most celeb attendees made sure they shared the spotlight and showed their support by arriving in their favorite pieces from the headlining label, like Brittany Snow in her gorgeous beaded Diane von Furstenberg dress

The Tadashi Shoji Fall 2009 collection brought an array of beyond stunning cocktail frocks from the sleek and subdued to the jaw-dropping and impossible to ignore. For those who wanna go bold, there were styles that were beautifully cut and shaped in eye-catching shades- organza styles with sculpted sleeves, cascade-front dresses in floral prints, satin frocks that gently draped around the neckline, mini dresses that were precisely folded and tiered, halter styles, tulip dresses, and so much more
